These are the palettes that sprites tend to use before editing them. Sprites C9 through FF will be explained seperately.

Take care with this one. Don't change the palettes that much that Mario's palettes will also change. Plan around this.

Sprite 87 - Lakitu's Cloud

Sprite 88 - Winged Cage Sprite, unused (is best not to be used too)

Sprite 89 - Layer 3 smash

Sprite 8A - Yoshi House birds (do note that they will probably use A,B,C and D as palettes... but for some reason, they use palette 8 here)

Can be changed without having custom palette on and without affecting any other level, by setting the sprite palette dropdown box to another number. It's best to use custom palette to completely customize it, though.

Sprite CA - Torpedo Blaster. The Torpedo uses palette 9.

Sprite CB - Eerie generator. Eeries use palette E.

Sprite CC - Paragoomba (Goomba with parachute) generator. They use palette A.

Sprite CD - Parabomb (Bob-Omb with parachute) generator. They use palette A.

Sprite CE - Paragoomba and Parabomb (Goomba and Bob-Omb with Parachute) generator. They use palette A.

Sprite CF - Dolphin, left, generator. They use palette B.

Sprite D0 - Dolphin, right, generator. They use palette B.

Sprite D1 - Fish generator. They use palette A.

Sprite D2 - Turn off generator E5. Palette N/A.

Sprite D3 - Super Koopa generator. They probably use palette D.

Sprite D4 - Bubble with Goomba and Bob-Omb generator. They use palette 8.

Sprite D5 - Bullet Bill generator (off-screen). They use palette 9.

Sprite D6 - Vertical Bullet Bill generator (off-screen). They use palette 9.

Sprite D7 - Diagonal Bullet Bill generator (off-screen). They use palette 9.

Sprite D8 - Bowser statue fire generator. They use palette 8.

Sprite D9 - Turn off normal generators. Palette N/A.

Sprite DA - Green Koopa shell. Uses palette D.

Sprite DB - Red Koopa shell. Uses palette C.

Sprite DC - Blue Koopa Shell. Uses palette B.

Sprite DD - Yellow Koopa shell. Uses palette A.

Sprite DE - Group of 5 eeries, wave motion. They use palette E.

Sprite DF - Green Koopa shell. Uses palette D, even after Special World has been completed.

Sprite E0 - Grey platforms on chains, three of them. They use palette 9.

Sprite E1 - Ghost ceiling. The ghosts use palette 9.

Sprite E2 - Boo Buddies, counter-clockwise. The ghosts use palette 9.

Sprite E3 - Boo Buddies, clockwise, The ghosts use palette 9.

Sprite E4 - Swooper bat ceiling. These are blue, so they use palette B.

Sprite E5 - Reappearing Boo Buddies. The ghosts use palette 9.

Sprite E6 - Candle flames. The flames probably use palette C

Sprite E7 - Unused auto scroll. Palette N/A.

Sprite E8 - Auto scroll. Palette N/A.

Sprite E9 - Layer 2 smash. Palette N/A.

Sprite EA - Layer 2 scroll. Palette N/A.

Sprite EB - Unused. Palette N/A.

Sprite EC - Unused. Palette N/A.

Sprite ED - Layer 2 falls. Palette N/A.

Sprite EE - Unused. Palette N/A.

Sprite EF - Layer 2 scroll. Palette N/A.

Sprite F0 - Unused. Palette N/A.

Sprite F1 - Unused. Palette N/A.

Sprite F2 - Layer 2 ON/OFF switch controlled. Palette N/A.

Sprite F3 - Auto-Scroll level. Palette N/A.

Sprite F4 - Fast BG-scroll (used with sprite C1, hex editing will make this command activate, even if C1 isn't touched or present. Palette N/A.

Sprite F5 - Layer 2 Sink/Rise. Palette N/A.
