[edit] Biography

Originally your run-of-the-mill SMW hacker, Techokami (known originally as "Knuckles T15") would become a big name in the field of hacking that famous Super Nintendo title. In an effort originally to quelch an annoying user on the original ACMLMBoard, he started the ExGFX Workshop, where packages of pre-made ExGFX sets, and their Map16 data, were made available for public use. Aside from packages now including background mapping data and pallete files, this method of packing and distributing ExGFX is still in use today. After a year-long hiatus, he returned to the community refreshed, and began working on a SMW hack. He made some detailed notes on the mappings of enemies in the SMW ROM, going above and beyond mikeyk's efforts (which yielded only locations and lengths, but not how to utilize them). He is currently an administrator on SMW Central.

[edit] Projects

How many projects must someone make before they become a man?

[edit] ExGFX Workshop

Created the standard for distributing ExGFX files. Was taken by Coby and transformed from a heavily-edited post into a PHP and MySQL-driven website. It merged with SMW Central.

[edit] Super Mario's Island Hopping Adventure

His primary SMW hack project, where Mario and Luigi must hop across an island chain to save Peach from Bowser. Features sprite hacking, separate sprites for Luigi, overhauled graphics, new levels, and clever tricks. The current build has custom sprites.

[edit] LupineCMS

Originally Project Aurora, it is an ambitious PHP project which will feature Aurora Framework (a user management system and very basic social networking system), Borealis CMS (a content management system using the Framework), and Australis Forums (a forums package using the Framework). Development is expected to take some time, and is being helped with by Boom.dk. The design has since changed to be more like other open source CMS packages, but with specially-designed features (like mutli-page articles) and the ability to function with few module dependencies.

[edit] Other Websites

Aside from SMW Central, Techokami runs Metroid: Fan Mission and Goshi-Dan's Arcade. He also helps out the Mario Fan Games Galaxy from time to time with the site software, and as of July 4th 2008, is now a Quality Control moderator for the site.

[edit] Other Info

Runs a personal site called HoleNet (formerly WarezHole), which is moving away from providing its namesake, but instead aims to be a functional spoof of the Web 2.0 phenomenon. Will be powered by LupineCMS.
