YXPCCCTT format

The YXPCCCTT format (not to be confused with the YXPPCCCT format) is used to store layer tilemap properites. The information is stored in binary and makes up a single byte.

[edit] VRAM (Layer 3)
Layer 3 uses the YXPCCCTT format for it's tile properties. In the VRAM, each layer 3 tile is stored in two byte words, one byte containing the tile number and the other the tile properties (YXPCCCTT format, as above).
